Maria Granros

Maria is a fifth-year graduate student in the UIC Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. Maria graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in psychology with neuroscience emphasis and a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish. In her graduate studies, Maria is interested in examining risk factors for the transmission of depression with a special interest in investigating predictors of depression in adolescents. Under the mentorship of Katie Burkhouse, Maria examines biomarkers of depression with the hope of tailoring mechanisms of prevention for at-risk populations. Maria is currently on clinical internship at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
