Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Classics

Hollen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology and Classics in 2025 from Kenyon College. She worked in Dr. Andrew Engell's EEG lab as an undergraduate research assistant where she completed summer research and an honors thesis on decoding cognitive mechanisms using machine learning. She joined Dr. Eric Nelson's lab at Nationwide Children's Hospital in July 2025. She is interested in using neuroimaging methods, combined with various data analysis techniques, to study mental health disorders in children and adolescents who have experienced early life trauma. Her other interests include understanding the relationship between mental health disorders and deficits in cognitive mechanisms. In the future, Hollen plans to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. Outside of research, she enjoys crocheting and spending time with her cat Luna.
