Emily is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology-Neuroscience. She has a strong interest in understanding how genetic neuroscience can contribute to early intervention and prevention strategies for mental health. She is fascinated by how both genetics and the environment influence mental health, and how we can use that knowledge to develop innovative solutions for helping people. Academically, she likes to focus on the role of brain chemistry in mental health disorders, with a particular interest in how neuroscience and psychology intersect to shape behavior and well-being. Outside of academics, she loves cooking, staying active, and traveling whenever she can. Last summer, she had an internship at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and she is excited to return next summer to continue expanding her knowledge and skills.
