Ashley received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2024 from the University of Virginia, where she was an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Stefanie Sequeira's lab. She joined the FAM lab in August of 2024. Her primary research interest is utilizing neuroimaging methods (e.g. EEG) to study how different social contextual factors, such as peer relationships and parenting, shape the neural correlates underlying the positive valence system to confer risk for the emergence of internalizing disorders across critical windows of development. For fun she likes to go hiking with her dog Teddy and spend time with friends and family.
