Ashley received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2024 from the University of Virginia, where she was an undergraduate research assistant in Stefanie Sequeira's lab. She joined the FAM lab in August of 2024. Her primary research interest is utilizing neuroimaging methods (e.g. EEG, fMRI) to study how early life adversity across multiple contexts shapes the neural correlates underlying the positive emotional valence system to confer risk for the emergence of internalizing disorder, such as anxiety and depressive disorders, across critical windows of development. In the future, Ashley hopes to attend graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. For fun she likes to go hiking with her dog Teddy and spend time with friends and family.
